I’m just a white girl, following my dream to find the perfect Mexican dish, while selfishly indulging in my favorite topic, dating!

Dating, sex and relationships has to be one of my favorite conversations. Each relationship is like a snowflake, completely unique. Jesus, I can’t believe I just said that. You know what I mean.

I love to dive into what people desire when building a bond (or breaking one). I also love to dive into a wet burrito (not the Urban Dictionary version, ya creeps!). Who the fuck doesn’t. Dating and relationships can be fun, but it can also be mentally exhausting. I find the more you talk about it, the more you figure out what it is you really want in life. I want to point out that I am no way qualified to help anyone, I just really enjoy understanding other’s thought processes and behaviors.

A little about me, I work in advertising, which is a fun and challenging career. It’s also very creative, and lets me think outside the box on my day to day, which is all you can ask for, really. I live in beautiful British Columbia with my cat Maximus, which surprisingly has a plethora of Mexican food choices. On the relationship side of things, after being in a couple disastrous relationships and then bouncing around the online dating scene for a couple years, I’ve finally found my man-mate. My dude. My Boo Boo Kitty Fuck (BBKF). Now that I’ve hit my 30s, I’ve come to realize that your 20s are all about learning and fucking up. If you come out of your 20s with a relationship intact, I applaude you! It’s seriously an amazing feat, and you should be given free ice cream for life. I was common-law married for five years, and even though it was not a fun union, I learned a lot about what I needed in my life {enter BBKF}. BBKF and I met on OKCupid. I highly recommend this dating site. I’ve tried a few in the past (Match, eHarmony, POF) and this was by far the best experience if you are looking for an actual relationship. It asked a lot of interesting and pointed questions, and told you who you matched well with, and who you did not. I’ve also had a couple friends who have had success on Tinder, but I’ve never tried it personally.

The original idea of this blog was to find new and awesome Mexican restaurants from all over B.C. and beyond, and then review the shit outta them. And then one day I came to the realization that I LOVE talking about people and how they come together with other people. And Pow! Babes n Burritos was born. Not all that exciting actually. Sorry.

Mostly I’m interested in seeing other people’s views on relationships, as well as gather insight into the different stages: singledom, dating, married, married with kids…the list goes on. As well, my main goal is to eventually discover all the mexican places in B.C. (and some others) and report back to you good people with recommendations.

Let’s do this!
